Dr. Harriet G. Stallings

Dr. Stallings holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine. She graduated with honors in 1977. She also holds a Masters Degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Stallings served as a cancer research biochemist for the internationally known Baylor School of Medicine in Houston Texas. She is the co-author of many publications on breast cancer treatment. In 1986 she received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston in Texas graduating with honors in the top 5% of her class. She has been in practice for over 25 years. Her clinical awards include the Bausch and Lomb most outstanding clinician in contact lenses and Optometrist of the Year, Fountain Valley, 1994. Dr. Stallings has been a member of the California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Stallings has gained extensive clinical experience in her 25 years of practice. She heads her own family practice in Fountain Valley and is on staff with a prominent local eye surgeon. She is well versed in the medical management of ocular disease and the pre and post operative care of lasik and cataract patients. Her vision care specialties include contact lens fitting, pediatric and adult eye examinations and surgical consultation and co-management.
Dr. Stallings has four children and currently lives with her husband and their youngest son in Cypress, CA. He is attending Cal State University Long Beach. Their daughter obtained a Master’s degree this year and their eldest son his Bachelor’s degree. Their second oldest son is also enrolled in college and works full time. Dr. Stallings is a vocalist and enjoys singing and her Latin Dance Aerobics class “ZUMBA!” One of her proudest moments was finishing the Honolulu marathon which she walked for the Arthritis Foundation.
